Sons and Brothers Measure of a Man

Sons and Brothers - Measure of a Man

The Sons and Brothers Band is genuinely thrilled to announce the release of their ninth CD project “Measure of a Man.” This is the band’s first almost entirely western themed recording project and is the band’s first project to be released on a label, the Western Jubilee Recording Company.

Measure of a Man is another fine audio offering from Sons and Brothers. The CD features fantastic new tracks like “Snowing on Raton,” “Cold High Mountain Wind,” and “Quiet Faith of Man” along with some of the band’s most requested numbers like “Coyotes” and “This One Belongs To Me.” This project also features a very special live recording of Frank Wolking singing his signature song “Pilgrim.” Also, debuting on this CD is the Joe Wolking original “Valentine Waltz”; this track showcases his exquisite mandolin work combined with the incredible fiddling of the great Johnny Neill.

Whether you are looking for fast paced songs of western living, old time cowboy songs or touching ballads, “Measure of a Man” will undoubtedly touch that spot. The title track is written by master songwriter Michael Fleming and is particularly poignant for the band as they move forward:

It’s times like these that take the measure of a man
It’s times like these you choose to run or make a stand
Oh the dark night of your soul
Is here to help you grow
And you will find you come to treasure all the times
You met the measure of a man

The consensus from everyone who has listened to “Measure of a Man” is that this is Sons and Brothers strongest recording project yet. You should see for yourself. The quote that Aaron Wolking famously stole from Milton Taylor (who famously stole it from someone else) sums this proposition up the best: “If you buy this CD and don’t like it, send it back, and we’ll send you a CD we don’t like.”

The CD is $15.00 per copy with $2.00 shipping and handling.
